Adagio is the second full length album by T.H.C. This posthumous release came out after the duo George Sarah and Sarah Folkman disbanded. T.H.C. gained some recognition after their music appeared in a couple of episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (as well as its spin-off, Angel), playing the part of the fictional band Shy, of whom Veruca was the vocalist. George Sarah also appeared on the show as Shy's keyboard player for several episodes. T.H.C also had their music appear in several films including The Curve directed by Dan Rosen and starring Matthew Lillard, Michael Vartan, and Keri Russell, Mascara directed by Linda Kandel and starring Ione Skye, and Steve Jones, Cleopatra’s Second Husband directed by Jon Reiss.

Vicissitudes comprises music from two very different recent film scores. The first is inspired by Carl Theodor Dreyer’s silent classic ‘The Passion Of Joan of Arc’ (1928 film). Sarah was on tour with a nine piece ensemble consisting of a string quartet, synthesizers and singers throughout North America in 2019-2020 performing at film festivals and performing art centers prior to the lock down. The second is a feature film ‘Her Name Was Jo’ released April, 2021. For the score Sarah assembled a quartet of musicians to record his Americana, Shoe-gaze, Post Rock and Ambient material. Vicissitudes connects two film soundtracks and combines elements of electronic and acoustic, early music and modern classic with a minor key introspection.

George Sarah’s 3-track EP takes the electronic composer in a more mellow West Coast chillwave sound, with three instrumental tracks that are gentle beats, arpeggiated synths, sweeping pads, and piano make for a lovely experience on the title track “Min and Elsa,” while “Reverence and Unknowing” references a bit of Sarah’s dark industrial past. Side two’s extended 11min. track “Forgotten Animals” has a driving, minimal feel evoking early 80’s electronic music.

On Timelapse, George Sarah (Stereotaxic Device, THC,) constructs an industrial soundscape that is soaring and bombastic, while being atmospheric and refined. These 10 orchestrated instrumental electronic tracks reside somewhere between industrial and the sublime.

Los Angeles, CA, synth ace George Sarah is a multidimensional composer/performer who also incorporates live strings and other entities into his vast arsenal. Marked by the radiant sonic characteristics of this outing, the artist pursues groove-based trip-hop beats, reverberating ostinato motifs, acutely arranged EFX treatments, and much more. Sarah is obviously a master of various studio techniques via his layered approach and subtle synth swashes. However, the artist is also a supreme melody maker. At times, he abides by a systematic yet climactically oriented mode of attack, where he's apt to inject childlike themes into the mix, not to mention dabs of electro-acoustic, folk-type musings. On Ossia, simple melodies serve as the framework for a hodgepodge of pulsating backbeats and a balanced regimen. Through it all, Sarah exudes a slightly enigmatic demeanor fused with ethereal sounds and oscillating patterns. This is one of those rare musical events that makes a noticeable impression during the initial listening experience. It gets even better the second and third time around.

The debut album of George Sarah post Stereotaxic Device under the moniker T.H.C., Death By Design was originally released on January 23, 1996 and the follow up EP Consenting Guinea Pig on November 26, 1996.
Both albums are now available on Bandcamp under one title. In addition two bonus tracks Tetanus Toxin and the never before released unedited version of Sinkhole featuring vocals by Sarah Folkman are included.
